Our Services

A standard individual therapy session is 50 minutes. The initial appointment would involve exploring your reason for commencing therapy and getting a detailed picture of your presenting issues. We would also gather a thorough history to gain a better understanding of you as a person and to inform our treatment plan.
By the end of the initial session, we hope to have an understanding if we are a good fit therapeutically and we would collaboratively set some goals. Our following sessions would focus on achieving these goals with regular check-ins to ensure we are travelling in the right direction with therapy and if you are finding our sessions helpful.

Mental health has been shown to be a risk factor impacting academic success and research shows 1 in 4 young people are at risk of developing a mental illness.
We aim to provide creative, fun and engaging therapy sessions that involve connecting with the young person. Sessions can involve exploring emotional difficulties, identity issues, adjustment to life events, self esteem and peer/social and family dynamics.

We would also work with parents to address your concerns and discuss how to best support your child at home as we recognize that it is important for the psychologist and the family to support the child in a consistent manner to achieve best outcomes.

Parenting is a journey that can involve multiple challenges as we learn to navigate our new identity as a parent and caregiver along with the challenges of caring for children with different personalities and needs.
We can provide parent management sessions that focus on emotion coaching, effective communication, behavioural management strategies to help improve your relationship with your child and build your parenting confidence.

Some parents have knowledge of these strategies but struggle to implement them with their children effectively. We can support you to bridge that gap and find what works for you and your family.
