About Telehealth

Telehealth Psychology allows you to attend therapy from the comfort of your own home. All you need is a computer or smartphone and a good internet connection. A link will be provided to you so that you can log on at your scheduled appointment time with your psychologist.

 

Life can get busy and telehealth offers flexibility for people who live in rural areas, have work or personal obligations that might make it difficult to travel to appointments but would like to prioritize their mental health. Telehealth allows you to access your psychologist without the stress or expense of travel, and moving around commitments in your busy schedule.

 

 Telepsychology has been found to be as effective as face-to-face appointments for a range of mental health problems such as depression, anxiety and adjustment issues. When seeing a psychologist via telehealth, videoconferencing or telephone, you can expect to receive the same confidential, quality care.

To get the best out of your telehealth appointment, we recommend:

​

  • A quiet space that you can utilize for the duration of your session (50 mins)

  • Minimal distractions as possible e.g. kids, pets, work.

  • A good internet connection, mobile phone on standby

  • Computer with decent audio or earphones/headphones to help with clear sound
